Under the aegis of UCI (by delegation from IPC), with the support of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Associative Life, of the Regional Council of Aquitaine, of the General Council of Gironde, of the City of Bordeaux, as well as that of Villenave d’Ornon and the help of the FFC (French Cycling Federation), the Paracycling World Championship is organized by both the Handisport French Federation and the Handisport Regional Committee of Aquitaine.

The Handisport French Federation trusts the Handisport Regional Committee of Aquitaine to organize these 4th World Championships in Bordeaux. This committee has existed since 1972 and covers five geographic departments: the Dordogne, the Gironde, the Landes, the Lot et Garonne and the Atlantic Pyrenees; through 4 departmental committees affiliated to the federation. It includes some forty clubs.
